We collect only the information necessary to operate our services responsibly and improve your experience.
1.1. Information You Provide Voluntarily
- Email address (e.g., when signing up, subscribing, or contacting support)
- Account information if you create an API account
- Billing information via third-party providers (e.g., Stripe); we never store full payment details
1.2. Automatically Collected Information
Unless you turn off analytics in Privacy preferences, we measure:
- Device type and browser
- Pages visited
- Approximate location (city-level only)
- Time spent on site
- Referral sources
- Basic usage metrics
- Dataset selections, preview results, pricing choices, content engagement, and exports
- Signup steps and the first successful paid Pro subscription
We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics. Google Analytics uses pseudonymous browser and session identifiers. Unless you turn off ad measurement, we also collect Google advertising click identifiers to understand which ads lead to purchases. We do not send email addresses, API keys, authentication tokens, payment details, form contents, or raw dataset queries in our analytics events.
Essential hosting, security, and API request logs may be processed to operate the service, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits regardless of optional analytics choices.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data solely for:
- Operating and maintaining the website and APIs
- Monitoring performance and preventing abuse
- Improving the user experience
- Responding to support inquiries
- Managing subscriptions and payments
- Generating anonymized, aggregated metrics
- Measuring campaign performance and the journey to a paid subscription, subject to your privacy preferences
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, data resale, or unrelated marketing activities.
3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Essential cookies keep you signed in and support account and payment functionality. We also store your privacy choices. Optional cookies and browser storage help us:
- Understand website traffic
- Maintain login sessions (if applicable)
- Improve product analytics
Analytics and ad measurement are enabled by default. You can turn off either or both at any time using Privacy preferences in the footer. Saved choices are honored on future visits in the same browser while browser storage is retained. Turning off tracking does not prevent login, checkout, or paid access. Advertising personalization remains disabled. Ad measurement also requires analytics to be enabled.
Turning off tracking stops future optional collection and suppresses pending purchase exports once the withdrawal reaches our server. If the connection fails, the site keeps collection off and retries withdrawal on your next visit. Withdrawal does not automatically delete information already sent; contact us to request deletion.
4. How We Share Information
We only share information with trusted third parties needed to operate our services, such as:
- Outseta for account management and subscriptions, and Stripe for payments
- Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics for analytics according to your privacy preferences
- Google Ads for advertising measurement according to your privacy preferences through linked Google Analytics conversions
- Vercel for website hosting and Neon for attribution and conversion records
- Error monitoring or logging tools
These partners are obligated to protect your data and use it only for service-related purposes.
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. Ever.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect data, including:
- HTTPS encryption
- Secure API key management
- Rate limiting and abuse detection
- Access controls and monitoring
While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard all user information.
6. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary for:
- Providing the service
- Legal compliance
- Preventing abuse
- Handling billing and support
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 10).
We keep attribution records for up to 90 days and detailed conversion diagnostics for up to 14 months. A minimal account and first-paid invoice marker prevents renewals from being counted as new purchases; we retain it while needed for that purpose, subject to deletion requests. Privacy choices remain in your browser until you change them or clear browser storage. Google Analytics event retention is configured separately, up to 14 months. Billing and security records follow their own operational and legal requirements.

Our site may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content. We encourage you to review their policies.
8. Children's Privacy
Alphanume is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
9. International Users
Our servers may be located in the United States. By using the Services, you consent to the processing and storage of your information in the U.S.

- Request corrections
- Request deletion (where applicable)
